Breast Surgery – Your Options at a Glance
Whether for aesthetic or functional reasons, breast surgery offers a wide range of possibilities to harmoniously enhance your body shape. Here you’ll find an overview of our procedures, including key information on surgery duration, recovery time, aftercare, potential risks, and scar formation.
Surgery Duration: approx. 1–1.5 hours
Downtime: 1–2 weeks, no sports for about 6 weeks
Aftercare: special support bra for 6 weeks, regular check-ups
Most common risks: bruising, capsular contracture, implant displacement
Scars: discreetly placed in the inframammary fold or, if desired, along the edge of the areola
Breast augmentation with high-quality silicone implants (Polytech®, Mentor®, Motiva®) remains the most common and effective procedure for enhancing breast shape and volume. It provides a long-lasting, natural appearance and can be precisely tailored to your desired size and form. The implants are gently inserted through small incisions, usually placed under the pectoral muscle, which promotes healing and ensures a harmonious breast contour. Modern implants are safe, soft to the touch, and available in various surface textures.

Surgery duration: approx. 1.5–2 hours
Downtime: up to 1 week
Aftercare: compression garments at the donor sites, lymphatic drainage recommended
Risks: partial volume loss (20–30%), fat hardening, irregularities at the donor sites
Scars: very small puncture sites (approx. 3 mm), barely visible, placed within natural folds and arranged asymmetrically
For patients who prefer a moderate enlargement (about half to one cup size) and value natural substances, autologous fat transfer (lipofilling) offers a gentle and natural alternative. In this procedure, fat is harvested from areas such as the abdomen, thighs, or other regions with excess tissue, then carefully processed and reinjected into the breast. The result is very natural, as only your own body tissue is used.
This method is ideal for improving breast shape and achieving a subtle volume increase. For larger volume goals, several sessions may be required. A compression garment should be worn over the donor areas for a period of 4–6 weeks.

Extensive experience
Dr. Felix Cromme has exceptional expertise in fat harvesting and transplantation, gained through his many years of work at renowned plastic surgery clinics (BEAULI method) and specialized centers for body contouring and reconstructive surgery. He has performed over 1,000 liposuctions and fat grafting procedures (lipofilling) for a wide range of indications, from aesthetic treatments to complex reconstructive interventions.
Surgery duration: approx. 2–4 hours
Downtime: 2–3 weeks
Aftercare: special support bra, scar care, follow-up examinations
Risks: wound healing complications, altered nipple sensitivity
Scars: depending on the technique used (lollipop, anchor, or round incision), usually fade well after about 3 months
Breast reduction is often performed for medical reasons, such as back pain or posture problems caused by overly large breasts. At the same time, the procedure reshapes and lifts the breast, creating an aesthetically harmonious and proportionate result. The incision technique is chosen individually to keep scars as discreet as possible while ensuring proper blood supply to the nipple.
The surgery not only enhances physical appearance but can also significantly improve comfort and quality of life.

Surgery duration: varies, usually 1–2 hours
Downtime: 1–2 weeks
Aftercare: depends on the method used, often includes wearing a support bra for 6 weeks
Risks: possible asymmetry, need for revision surgery
Scarring: depends on the chosen technique
Breast asymmetry is very common and may be congenital or develop over time, for example, after pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or previous surgeries. Using targeted techniques, we can balance differences in breast size and shape through implants, autologous fat transfer, or combined procedures. Congenital conditions such as tuberous breast deformitycan also be corrected surgically to achieve a natural, symmetrical breast contour.

Surgery duration: approx. 3–4 hours (with or without implants or fat transfer)
Downtime: 1–2 weeks, physical rest for 4–6 weeks
Aftercare: wearing a supportive bra, scar care, follow-up appointments
Risks: wound healing complications, scarring, altered nipple sensitivity
Scarring: visible scars (usually around the areola and vertically or in a T-shape), which gradually fade over several months
When the breasts lose firmness due to age, pregnancy, or weight loss, a breast lift reshapes and tightens the tissue to restore a youthful and harmonious appearance. If desired, volume can be enhanced simultaneously using implants or autologous fat. The incisions are placed carefully to remain as discreet as possible.
The goal is to achieve a naturally youthful, well-proportioned breast with an elegant, balanced contour.

Surgery duration: approx. 1–3 hours (with or without capsule removal)
Downtime: 1–2 weeks
Aftercare: similar to the initial augmentation procedure
Risks: comparable to primary breast augmentation
Scarring: often performed using existing incision sites, so no new scars are created
Breast implants are long-lasting but not permanent. Reasons for an implant exchange may include a desire for a different size or shape, changes in the body over time, or medical reasons such as capsular contracture. During the procedure, the old implants are removed and replaced with new ones, often combined with capsule removal, breast lift, or skin correction, depending on the individual situation.

Surgery duration: approx. 30–60 minutes (outpatient procedure)
Downtime: 1 day
Aftercare: dressing, rest, possible temporary limitation of breastfeeding ability
Risks: recurrence, changes in sensitivity
Scarring: fine scars along the edge of the areola, usually barely visible
Inverted nipples can be aesthetically bothersome and may also affect the ability to breastfeed. Correction is typically performed as an outpatient, minimally invasive procedure that preserves nipple function and minimizes scarring. Differences in nipple size or overly large nipples can also be refined easily and with minimal discomfort for a harmonious and natural appearance.

Scarring: small scars around the areola or in the armpit area
Enlarged male breast tissue (gynecomastia) is treated either by liposuction or surgical removal of the glandular tissue, depending on the degree and composition of the tissue. The goal is to achieve a flat, masculine chest contour, resulting in improved comfort, posture, and self-confidence.
